The Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting on Monday, chaired by Council President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi and attended by all members, to review the latest political, economic, and security developments, as well as progress on government reforms and efforts to improve public services and stability in Aden and other government-controlled governorates.
The Council received briefings on the security situation and measures taken to pursue those involved in recent assassination cases, reaffirming the state's commitment to combating terrorism and strengthening security.
Members also discussed financial and economic performance, implementation of the government's reform program, and the state budget. The Council welcomed recent institutional reforms, including the formation of the Supreme Committee for Tenders and Auctions and the establishment of the General Authority for the Care of War-Wounded Personnel. It also directed the government to accelerate reforms, strengthen revenue management, combat smuggling, and improve public spending efficiency.
The Council renewed its appreciation for Saudi Arabia's support to Yemen, including financial assistance for the state budget, the extension of the MASAM landmine clearance project, and the continuation of development projects implemented by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen.
The meeting also addressed regional and political developments and reviewed progress in implementing previous Council decisions and recommendations.
