The MASAM Project for Landmine Clearance in Yemen announced that it cleared 2,164 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during the fourth week of June across several Yemeni governorates.
According to the project, the items removed included 81 anti-tank mines, 6 anti-personnel mines, 2,072 pieces of unexploded ordnance (UXO), and 5 IEDs, bringing the total cleared since the beginning of June to 6,786.
The project added that the cumulative number of mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices cleared since its launch has reached 571,125 across Yemen.
