Mohammed Ahmed Jazilan, President of the Yemeni Republican Party and Undersecretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, sent a message of condolence to Dr. Abdullah Obeid, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Unitary Rally Party, following the passing of journalist and syndicate activist Amin Ahmed Abdo Saif, a member of the party’s Supreme Council, who died in the interim capital, Aden, at the age of 74.
In his message, Eng. Jazilan recalled the deceased’s long professional and trade-union career, noting his decades-long association with journalism in Aden and his distinguished professional service at the Yemeni News Agency, as well as his contributions to union work and his advocacy for journalists’ rights and press freedom.
The President of the Yemeni Republican Party praised the late journalist for his composure, integrity, and professionalism, and for the experience and knowledge he contributed to journalism and his colleagues, as well as the positive impact he left on the journalistic community and those who knew and worked with him.
Jazilan expressed his sincere condolences to the leadership and members of the Yemeni Unitary Rally Party, as well as to the deceased’s family, son, colleagues, and friends, praying that Almighty God grant him His mercy and forgiveness, admit him into Paradise, and grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
