The National Bloc of Political Parties and Components announced its full support for the decisions of Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, in which he announced the launch of military operations to reclaim the remaining territory of the Republic and extend state authority across the entire national territory, reaffirming its support for the battle until the coup is ended and state institutions are restored.
In a statement issued on Sunday, October 4, 2026, the Bloc said it had followed the address by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, as well as the statement issued on the same day by the Coalition Joint Forces Command, which affirmed the continuation of full operational support for the Yemeni Armed Forces and its backing of the legitimate government to end the coup and restore the state.
The Bloc affirmed that the decisions announced by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council represent, according to the statement, a response to the will of the Yemeni people after all opportunities for peace had been exhausted. It noted that the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group responded to those opportunities with mobilization, escalation, and attacks on civilians, neighboring countries, and international maritime navigation.
The Bloc called for all fronts to be activated simultaneously and for operations to be coordinated under a unified command and a joint operations room, in order to prevent fragmented action that could give the Houthis an opportunity to maneuver and redeploy.
It called for the available land, air, and naval capabilities to be employed to end the rebellion, restore state institutions, and reassert state authority. It also called on the Yemeni people to mobilize and rally behind the armed forces, security forces, and the National Resistance, saluting those stationed on the front lines, honoring the martyrs, and wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
The Bloc welcomed the statement by the Coalition Joint Forces Command and what it described as the continuation of its full operational support for the Yemeni Armed Forces and its backing of the state and the Yemeni people until state institutions are restored and the coup is ended.
The Bloc also condemned attacks by the Houthi militias against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and attempts to target Mecca, Medina, cities, and civilian sites, as well as threats to freedom of navigation in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Red Sea. It affirmed the Kingdom’s inherent right to defend its sovereignty and security.
The Bloc called on the international community to provide the Yemeni state with all necessary support to accomplish the battle, cut off sources of Iranian arms and funding, and protect international maritime navigation.
The Bloc reaffirmed its commitment to standing with the state and constitutional legitimacy, stressing that the objective of the battle, according to the statement, is to restore the state and end the coup, leading to a just and lasting peace based on the three references: the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
