Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, announced Monday the launch of “Dawn of Yemen”, a military operation aimed at restoring state institutions, liberating the capital, Sana’a, and ending the coup by the Houthi terrorist militia.
In a post on X, Al-Alimi announced the start of the operation, saying: “With God’s blessing, the ‘Dawn of Yemen’ operation has begun to restore state institutions, liberate the capital, Sana’a, and end the coup of the Houthi terrorist militia.”
He added that, with the support of Yemen’s allies and partners, and through the determination of the Yemeni people and the courage of the armed forces and all military formations, the country would move toward “a new dawn of freedom, peace, and stability.”
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that government forces had established full control over Bab al-Mandab and Dhubab District on the western coast of Taiz Governorate, following advances by the Giants Brigades and Nation’s Shield Forces.
