The Supreme Council of the National Bloc of Political Parties and Components held a meeting on Tuesday evening, 16 June 2026, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Obeid Bin Daghr, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Bloc.

The Council extensively discussed the current situation in the liberated governorates at a time when direct responsibility rests increasingly on the government and local authorities. It reviewed the state of essential public services and the ongoing deterioration that continues to burden citizens. The Council called on both local authorities and the government to urgently implement permanent and comprehensive solutions to the service crisis in order to restore normalcy to people\'s lives and alleviate their recurring hardships. The Council also stressed the importance of returning all state authorities and institutions to operate from within the country, thereby strengthening their effective presence in the liberated governorates and reinforcing citizens’ confidence in their ability to fully discharge their responsibilities.

The National Bloc further called on the government to continue and complete its efforts to reform tax systems, strengthen control over public revenues, and exercise its regulatory role in monitoring prices in order to curb the persistent market instability and price fluctuations.

The Council emphasized the need to accelerate the building and strengthening of state institutions in a manner that ensures greater public security and safeguards citizens’ safety. It urged the government to adopt clear strategic measures that would restore the state\'s presence and authority while reinforcing social cohesion and stability.

The Bloc also strongly condemned Iran’s attacks against Arab countries during its conflict with the United States, describing such actions as unjustified and unacceptable. It stated that these actions reflect the extent of hostility harbored by the Iranian regime toward Arab nations and constitute an attempt to demonstrate force against countries that were not parties to the conflict.

The Supreme Council expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous and unwavering support for Yemen and its people. It particularly welcomed the recent grant of petroleum derivatives valued at USD 150 million to support electricity services in the capital, Aden, and Hadramout Governorate. The Council affirmed that this assistance reflects the Kingdom’s deep sense of brotherhood and responsibility toward addressing Yemen’s humanitarian crisis.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council reviewed other developments and matters related to the interests and activities of the National Bloc.
