The Supreme Council of the National Bloc of Political Parties and Components has issued a statement marking the second anniversary of the Bloc's establishment, reaffirming its commitment to joint national action, constitutional legitimacy, and support for the "Yemen Dawn" operation until the Houthi rebellion is defeated and state institutions are restored.

The statement noted that the Bloc, established on November 5, 2024, with the participation of 22 political parties and components, has contributed over the past two years to revitalizing organized political activity, strengthening coordination among national forces, following up on state institutional reforms, and conveying citizens' needs and demands to political decision-makers. It has also engaged with ambassadors and international actors involved in the Yemen file.

The Bloc renewed its full support for the "Yemen Dawn" operation, announced by Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi with the backing of the Arab Coalition. It affirmed its continued support for the political leadership and the armed forces until the operation achieves its objectives, ends the Houthi rebellion, and restores the capital, Sana'a.

The statement stressed the importance of unifying military formations and fully integrating them into the Yemeni Armed Forces, strengthening political partnership, and consolidating the domestic front. It also commended the sacrifices of the national army, popular resistance, and armed forces, and expressed support for the resilience of Taiz residents and forces confronting Houthi attacks in Lahj and other frontlines.

The Bloc condemned Houthi attacks on Aden, Mukalla, Shabwa, and Al-Dhalea, as well as attacks targeting civilians, Islamic holy sites, and Saudi airports. It expressed appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's continued political, economic, humanitarian, and military support for Yemen, and commended the role of the Arab Coalition and other brotherly and friendly countries supporting the legitimate government.

The statement reaffirmed the Bloc's adherence to the national, regional, and international frameworks, including the Constitution, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions. It also reiterated its support for a just resolution to the Southern Cause and the Southern-Southern dialogue under Saudi sponsorship.

The Bloc called on the United Nations Security Council and the international community to move beyond expressions of concern and condemnation toward deterrence and accountability. It urged the international designation of the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization, alongside measures to cut off its sources of funding and weapons and enforce relevant international resolutions.

Concluding its statement, the Bloc emphasized that confronting the Houthi movement requires more than military action, stressing the importance of countering sectarian and lineage-based supremacist ideology and promoting an inclusive Yemeni identity founded on equal citizenship. It expressed confidence that the Republic will prevail and that Yemen will be restored as a united state exercising authority over its entire national territory.
